Jenny Holmes.

About.

I'm a womenswear designer and creative consultant with extensive experience working from first idea to delivery for major high street retailers, emerging labels and luxury brands.

I combine creative direction, craft and innovation alongside deep technical expertise, and bring a clear, process-driven approach to deliver modern, elevated ranges from concept to market across wovens, jersey, knitwear and denim.

Design.

I create womenswear ranges across all categories with a focus on dresses from daywear to occasion. My design handwriting is original and commercially considered - developed through hand-drawing, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and grounded in a deep understanding of what women want to wear.

Development.

I design and develop womenswear from first sketch to final fit approval - managing the full process from end to end. I have experience developing product and fabric across woven, jersey, knit and denim - with a deep understanding of print and techniques and surface and embellishment applications.

Direction.

I set creative and print direction across each season, working closely with print designers and studios to develop original artworks grounded in trend, customer and commercial insight. I present seasonal strategies with clarity and conviction, and I’m experienced at leading and mentoring creative teams through the full design journey.

Process.

I create production-ready technical packs to the highest standard - ensuring the best construction and quality from the outset. I have travelled extensively to work directly with factories in China, Bangladesh, Morocco and Turkey, building supplier capabilities and overseeing sampling at source.

Consultancy.

I have worked as a senior design consultant across the full market - from contemporary high street to luxury. I have created collections and directed product development for Anthropologie, ASOS, Oliver Bonas and Monsoon, and contributed to design and sourcing for Roland Mouret and Cefinn. In 2014 I established and led a London design studio for JC Fashion, building the UK team and bringing in new clients including Topshop, River Island, Mango and Zalando.

In 2023 I founded Atelia - a womenswear design studio delivering creative direction, range development and brand strategy. I lead design development for Never Fully Dressed and Nobody’s Child from concept through to gold seal, and have worked with TK Maxx and Freemans Group to redefine brand identities and range architectures for own brand collections.

London Fashion Week.

In 2009 I founded Jena.Theo - recognised for architectural silhouettes, abstract print and innovative construction, an approach that continues to shape my work today. In our first year we won Fashion Fringe - securing a position on the official London Fashion Week schedule. Stockists included Harvey Nichols, Galeries Lafayette, Anthropologie and ASOS.
